.biz Domain Name Registration

The .biz domain name extension was recently added to the list of TLDs (top-level domains) because the traditional business-oriented domain extension, .com, had become nearly saturated.

Unfortunately, few people take a .biz domain name seriously, and it has not taken off in the way it was hoped. It sounds unprofessional, and the public tend not perceive it to be a real domain name extension, and will generally not correctly guess a .biz domain name.

That said, if a great .biz domain name is available and suits your website, and the equivalent .com is not available, it may be a worthwhile choice.
