Similar to many other famous mountainous regions, the Atherton Tablelands, otherwise known as the Cairns Highlands, is an area rich in wildlife, nature, farmland and gourmet food. Naturally, bed & breakfast accommodation is prolific throughout the Atherton Tablelands, each offering a unique twist of their piece of the Cairns highlands.
From accommodation in Atherton Tablelands you can expect a very natural setting, privacy and almost always romance! Because the Atherton Tablelands is so elevated, the climate is pleasant in summer, and almost chilly in winter. Many accommodation houses have a fire place, some are open brick, others are combustion heaters.

It is not rare to find a house may have been completely furnished with timber from it's own rainforest, or using water from it's own spring or river! Situated on 'Hallorans Hill' overlooking Atherton township, this rustic bed and breakfast is a great spot to relax and soak up the beautiful surrounding landscape. Enjoy the complimentary continental breakfast on the deck while listening to the birds call. Family and double rooms are available which include Austar and private ensuites. The deluxe room contains a microwave and a fridge. For everybody else there is a guest common room which contains a kitchenette with cutlery, crockery and washing facilities.
Atherton Caravan Park and Holiday Units
Located just outside the Atherton township this accommodation features large grassy caravan sites that are big enough for the largest of motorhomes, cottages and cosy villas. The villas sleep up to 4 people with a separate main bedroom. The cottages sleep up to 6 people with a separate main bedroom. Both the villas and the cottages are fully self-contained with reverse cycle air-conditioners, modern bathrooms, kitchens, outdoor entertaining area and washing facilities.
Atherton Motel
Single, double and family units available that all contain private ensuites, air-conditioning and Austar. All of the rooms have patios with beautiful scenic views. Has an on-site restaurant, pool and room service and is located just outside of the Atherton township. Guest laundry, internet points and car-washing facilities available on-site.
